Integration & Testing

Once the prerequisites are met, the integration process for Edgemesh® Server can begin. Here are the steps involved in the integration process:

Create a Staging Environment

Set up a staging environment to stage the changes. The exact process may vary depending on your platform. It is recommended to have a separate and isolated staging environment that closely resembles your production environment. This staging environment will be used for integration testing of new features and changes.

Make Necessary Changes

Your Edgemesh® Support Engineer will create a test instance of your Edgemesh® Server enabled site in the staging environment. If you have an in-house developer, they can work closely with your support engineer to implement the required changes to your front-end source code. If you don't have an in-house developer, you will need to provide access to your front-end source code to your support engineer, who will make the necessary changes. Typically, only a few changes are needed, primarily to support dynamic content .

Test Integration

With your site integrated with Edgemesh® Server, it's time to initiate the testing phase. Your Edgemesh® Support Engineer and Account Partner will perform their tests, but it's crucial for you to thoroughly test the functionality of your site in the staging environment as well. This step ensures that any potential issues or surprises are identified and addressed before the deployment to the production environment. To assist you in this testing phase we have prepared a checklist for you:

The integration process involves close collaboration between your in-house developer (if available), the Edgemesh® Support Engineer, and your Account Partner. By following these steps and thoroughly testing your site in the staging environment, you can ensure a smooth and successful integration of Edgemesh® Server.
