What to Do Before Contacting Support
If you encounter an issue with a page rendered by Edgemesh® Server, a crucial step in the diagnosis process is to determine if Edgemesh® optimizations are the cause. To do this, you can utilize the em-bypass search parameter.
To bypass Edgemesh® optimizations, simply append ?em-bypass=server
to the URL of the problematic page. This will load the page without Edgemesh® optimizations.
If the issue persists even after bypassing Edgemesh®, it indicates that the problem is not related to Edgemesh® Server but rather originates from the origin server. On the other hand, if the problem does not persist when bypassing Edgemesh®, it is recommended to generate a flare to gather more information for troubleshooting.
To generate a flare, you can either open the JavaScript console of your browser and type edgemesh.flare()
or open the Edgemesh® Control Panel with the search parameter ?em-controls
and submit a flare through the user interface. Both of these methods will generate a Flare ID. Copy the Flare ID and provide it to Edgemesh® Support along with a detailed description of the issue you are experiencing. This will assist them in investigating and resolving the problem effectively.
