Edgemesh® Client Shopify Plugin

The Edgemesh® Client Shopify Plugin introduces a local (client-side) state machine specifically designed for cart routes within the Shopify platform. By implementing this plugin, the frequent /cart.js and /cart.json calls to the Shopify servers are prevented from occurring on every request. This optimization significantly enhances the performance of the cart functionality and helps mitigate rate limiting imposed by the Shopify backend.

With this plugin enabled, any modifications made to the cart such as adding, removing, or updating items will trigger a refresh of the local state. As a result, subsequent requests for cart data can be served efficiently from the local cache, ensuring a performant response.
