Static Rendering
Static rendering, also known as static pre-rendering, is an effective technique used for search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance indexing, improve page load times, and achieve better search rankings. Edgemesh® Server leverages static rendering to generate optimized versions of your web pages, specifically designed for search engine crawlers.
When a request is made to a page on your site, Edgemesh® Server dynamically renders the page and applies various SEO optimizations. The resulting static version of the page is then stored in a specialized cache, ready to be served to subsequent requests.
When a search engine crawler accesses your site, Edgemesh® Server examines the user agent of the requesting device. If the crawler does not require JavaScript execution to properly index the page, Edgemesh® Server serves the pre-rendered static content instead. This approach ensures that search engine crawlers can efficiently access and index your site's content without the need for additional JavaScript processing.
By serving pre-rendered static content to search engine crawlers, your pages are indexed more frequently, typically at a rate 5 to 10 times higher compared to dynamic rendering. This increased indexing frequency enhances the visibility of your site in search engine results, leading to more organic traffic.
Google Search Console shows an 18% increase in impressions over a 28-day period after static rendering is enabled. Crawler stats are also available in the Edgemesh® Portal.
Furthermore, the SEO optimizations applied during static rendering greatly improve your site's core web vitals. Core web vitals are a set of user experience metrics that include factors like page loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability. By optimizing these aspects, your site is more likely to achieve better search rankings, as search engines prioritize sites that provide a smooth and enjoyable user experience.
